The Fender California Deluxe Newporter CE combines distinctive Fender styling with modern acoustic performance, creating a versatile instrument. The Newporter body shape delivers a comfortable playing experience while maintaining impressive projection and tonal balance. The solid Sitka spruce top and laminated mahogany back and sides work together to produce a lively, articulate voice with excellent clarity and warmth. Whatever and however you play, the Newporter CE responds with a balanced sound that's expressive across a wide range of playing styles.

Built as part of Fender's California Deluxe Series, the Newporter CE is designed to meet the demands of modern musicians. A smooth slim C-shaped mahogany neck and walnut fingerboard provide excellent comfort, while the cutaway body offers unrestricted access to higher frets for lead playing and complex arrangements. Combined with the onboard Fishman CD-1 preamp system, dependable hardware and refined construction, this acoustic-electric guitar is ready for playing at home, on stage, or in the studio.
Distinctive Newporter design
The Newporter body shape blends comfort, style and performance into a design that stands apart from traditional acoustic guitars. Its refined silhouette sits comfortably against the player whether sitting or standing, making it ideal for extended practice sessions, rehearsals and performances. The cutaway design contributes to its modern appearance and provides easier access to the upper frets, allowing greater freedom when exploring lead passages and more advanced playing techniques. It's a comfortable, easy-to-play guitar that's been designed to encourage creativity without limitations.
Responsive spruce and mahogany construction
A solid Sitka spruce top forms the foundation of the Newporter CE's lively acoustic voice. Known for its broad dynamic range and excellent responsiveness, spruce delivers clarity and articulation across a variety of playing styles. Laminated mahogany back and sides add warmth and depth, while scalloped X-bracing enhances resonance and sustain. Together, these tonewoods create a balanced sound with strong projection, making the guitar equally capable of delicate fingerpicking and energetic strumming.
Stage-ready Fishman electronics
The integrated Fishman CD-1 preamp system ensures the Newporter CE performs confidently whenever amplification is required. Controls for volume, bass and treble allow quick tonal adjustments, while phase control helps reduce unwanted feedback in live environments. An onboard tuner provides convenient tuning adjustments without the need for additional equipment. Whether connected to a PA system, acoustic amplifier or recording interface, the Fishman electronics deliver a reliable and natural amplified sound.
Comfortable playability and reliable hardware
A slim C-shaped mahogany neck offers a comfortable feel that suits players of all experience levels. The walnut fingerboard features a modern 12-inch radius that balances chord work and melodic playing, while the satin urethane neck finish helps the instrument feel smooth and natural in the hand. Sealed die-cast split-shaft tuners provide dependable tuning stability, and the Micarta nut and saddle maximise vibration transfer and tonal consistency. Combined with Fender's thoughtful design approach, these features create an acoustic-electric guitar that's ready for years of reliable performance.
