Part of Fender's California Deluxe Series, this model combines modern comfort with reliable performance features. A slim C-shaped mahogany neck and walnut fingerboard provide an inviting playing experience, while quality hardware ensures dependable tuning stability and long-term durability. With its full-bodied acoustic response, elegant styling and versatile performance capabilities, the California Deluxe Redondo Mahogany is an excellent choice for players seeking a dreadnought with warmth, character and everyday practicality.
Rich all-mahogany character
The defining feature of the Redondo Mahogany is its solid mahogany top, which delivers a tonal response distinct from traditional spruce-topped acoustics. Mahogany produces strong midrange presence, warm lows and smooth highs, creating a focused voice that works particularly well for singer-songwriters and players who prefer a more rounded acoustic character. Combined with laminated mahogany back and sides, the result is a balanced sound with excellent projection and plenty of natural warmth. This tonal profile helps the guitar sit comfortably within a mix while retaining clarity and definition.
Powerful dreadnought projection
The full-sized Redondo body shape provides the volume and projection expected from a classic dreadnought design. Its larger dimensions allow the guitar to produce impressive acoustic output, making it suitable for solo performance, accompaniment and ensemble playing. Scalloped X-bracing enhances resonance and responsiveness, allowing the top to vibrate more freely and contribute to the instrument's lively character. Whether you're playing gently or digging in with a heavier attack, the Redondo responds confidently and dynamically.
Comfortable modern playability
A slim C-shaped mahogany neck ensures a comfortable playing experience. The satin urethane finish helps the neck feel smooth and fast, while the walnut fingerboard offers a natural playing surface that balances durability with comfort. A modern 12-inch fingerboard radius provides an excellent platform for both chord playing and melodic work, and the 25.5-inch scale length delivers familiar string tension and strong note definition. These features combine to create a guitar that's easy to pick up and difficult to put down.
Built for reliable performance
The California Deluxe Redondo Mahogany is equipped with dependable hardware designed to support regular playing and performance. Sealed die-cast split-shaft tuners provide accurate tuning adjustments and help maintain tuning stability during extended sessions. A Micarta nut and saddle maximise vibration transfer and promote consistent response across all six strings, while factory-fitted phosphor bronze strings contribute warmth and projection straight out of the box. Together, these components help create an acoustic guitar that's ready for years of reliable use.
